Simms and received the baptism of the Holy Ghost in September the same year.

Bishop Brown was called to serve in the U.S. Air Force October 8, 1951 and while serving his country, he was called to the ministry. He preached his trial sermon in the summer of 1955. God gave Bishop Brown a vision of a church in Centreville, VA and on August 13, 1958, he preached his first sermon “I Don’t Have Kin Folk Religion."

He married Miss Marjorie Watts on March 8, 1952 and to this union three children were born – Floyd III, Ezora and Eric. He is the proud grandfather of six (E. Karrington, II, Tyler, Ashlei, Nevaeh, Elijah, and Sanyah) and great-grandfather of four (Karrington E., Reagan, Kaleb, and Zayne).

Bishop Brown has dedicated his life to the service of God. He is the Pastor of The Church of the Blessed Trinity, Centreville, VA, past President of the Holiness Ministers Alliance of Washington, D.C., VA, WV, and MD, and former Vice President of the Trinity Fellowship Coalition of VA, DC, and MD. He has a Doctor of Divinity Degree (D.D) conferred by the Trinity Hall College, Springfield, Il and Doctor of Law Degree (LL.D) conferred by Trinity Hall College, Louisville, KY followed by the Master of Arts North Carolina College of Theology, Wilmington, NC received June 11, 2001. Bishop Brown received his Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) June 17, 2005 at Wilmington, NC.

Bishop Brown, a loyal and devoted servant of God, has remained steadfast in good works, faith and determination for these many years. Because of his faithfulness and devotion to the call many years ago, on June 28, 2008, Bishop Floyd B. Brown, Jr. celebrated 50 years of serving as the Pastor of The Church of the Blessed Trinity. On that special night, he gave praise to GOD for this accomplishment. On September 11, 2011, Bishop Brown celebrated with his church family, the 50th Church Anniversary. But God was not finished. On June 17, 2017, in addition of being the Pastor for 59 years, he celebrated serving in the office of a BISHOP for over 30 years. God is yet being Good to Bishop Brown in allowing him to see Great Spiritual Accomplishments. TO GOD BE THE GLORY FOR THE THINGS HE HAS DONE.
